Dream Marathon
Last night I had about 5 dreams all rolled into one. I'll give you a quick summary.
Dream 1) I was on a school bus with all my friends and we drove past Josh Groban who was walking along the side of the road. I pulled down the window and told him happy birthday.
Dream 2) It was my birthday and all of my friends from the clinic and elementary school were there. Mom, my friend, and I drank champagne.
Dream 3) I was in a restaurant and some people were smoking next to me and the people I was with. They kept blowing their smoke in my face so I stood up and challenged the "leader." He yelled some profanities at me and blew more smoke in my face so I beat him up. Then a bar fight erupted. My group won.
Dream 4) It was Bear Festival. I was walking around McCleary and seeing all of my elementary school friends.
I know there were more, but those are the ones I remember.
I know I had the first one because I was talking about that guy yesterday. I also chatted with an old friend from McCleary last night so that could explain the Bear Festival and birthday dreams. My birthday is coming up so that could also explain my birthday dream. The fighting dream however, I have no idea. This is the second one in a week. Well the first one I didn't physically fight anyone but I did use some offensive language.

That Josh Groban Guy...
There's a guy who goes to school here who looks just like Josh Groban. I see him all the time and he intrigues me, naturally. I wonder if anyone has told him he looks like Josh. My friend and I were walking into the library today and he walked past. I always feel like I stare at him when I see him, but he never looks back so I'm safe. Anyway, my friend said "Wow, that guy looks like Josh Groban!" I explained to her that I often see him and think the exact same thing. I really want to say something the next time I see him, but don't want to come off as a creeper/stalker.

Song of the Day
"Imagine" by John Lennon. It's not as good as the original, but Josh Groban recorded a version for "Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur." It's nice. And for charity.
This song makes me a little sad. I'm not sure why.

Song of the Day
"Wanted: Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi
Here are two videos. One is Bon Jovi and the other is Josh Groban at the concert I went to this summer doing Bon Jovi. It's surprisingly good.

Song of the Day
"Let Me Fall" by Josh Groban. This is one of my all time favorite songs and is very fitting the the bad day Christina and I both seem to be having. This video isn't great, but it gets the job done.

*Insert Clever Dream Pun/Alliteration/Play On Words*
I dreamt about Josh Groban last night. Big surprise right? Actually, I don't believe I've never had a dream about him before.
I was going to his concert, which happened to be on campus, and was in line to purchase some concert memorabilia. I paid for whatever it was I got and turned to see Josh standing on the sidewalk looking at me. He smiled. I smiled. Then this older woman ran over to him to ask him for an autograph hysterically. As he was signing he looked back up at me as if to ask "why aren't you running over here?" I just shrugged and walked away.
Then I was at the concert with Kyndra, Mom, and Dad. We had bad seats, but I obviously didn't care. Suddenly we heard music next to us and looked over the side of the bleacher like seats we were on and saw Kelly Clarkson warming up on a boat right next to us. She finished up her song, then told her people to adjust the mic. As she did so the little boat/barge thing she was on started to sink. She didn't seem to mind and when the water got up to her chest I decided to go to the bathroom.
Then my reoccurring dream started. I was in a hurry to get back before Josh came on, so I quickly ran into a stall. As is common in my dreams all of the stalls were incredibly short and everyone could see everyone else doing their business. Luckily, at the time I was alone, but then two of the girls from the clinic walked in dressed in Halloween costumes (they were little farm girls) and sat down. They just giggled and watched me, as is usually the case. Then another girl from the clinic came in and sat down, also in costume, with her camera talking excitedly about the concert. I don't think she took any pictures, but I just sat there waiting for them to leave. Like always.

Noel
As of today I am the proud owner of Josh Groban's Christmas CD. I know it took me a few days, and I really have no excuse other than laziness. I didn't want to drive to Target. In fact, my mother got the CD before I did. Did hers have a bonus DVD? No. Does mine? Yes.

Josh News
Josh Groban's first Christmas CD, "Noel", comes out tomorrow! Target stores will be selling the regular CD and a special CD with an extra "making of the CD" DVD. Guess which one I'll be getting! I could have ordered the regular one online through WB and received a special Josh Groban Christmas Ornament, but I chose to go with the special edition/DVD one instead.

I'm totally excited. Are you totally excited?

Officially Awake
The Josh Groban "Awake" concert was last night, and it was needless to say AWESOME! I. Love. Him.
We were going to stop at Pike's first to kill time, then head over to the Center, but we were unaware of the fact that it was the hemp festival yesterday on the piers. So, instead of continuing to try to find parking (impossible) we went to the Seattle Center hours ahead of time. It turned out to be fine, but while we were trying to eat I was having trouble sitting still because of my anticipation. Then after the meal I developed at stomach ache from my inner excitement. Please do not tell me how pathetic I am because I already know.
We walked around for a while then decided we might as well get some Starbucks. Then a little while later...we got in line! The quotation from me that made all the people around laugh "Mommy, I'm totally excited! Are you totally excited?" Please note that I said that super fast with a Starbucks in my hand.
We got in to Key Arena and made our way to the souvenir stand nearest our seats. I purchased a Josh coffee cup, key chain, and poster. Then we excitedly made our way to our seats, which were again AWESOME! Naturally then, I called Christina.
When I concert started I was literally shaking uncontrollably (and not from the coffee). When the first song started Mom leaned over and said "that's really him singing...not a recording. It's Josh!" About halfway through the concert Josh disappeared from stage and reappeared IN THE CROWD! My sharking intensified. He was on the other side of the arena, but he was coming closer..."Burn this into your memory," Mom said.
All I could think was "Oh my God. This is it." I was ready to spring like a cat if he came our way. Now he was walking strait for me...my heart began to melt...just keep coming...but no. At the last second her turned and went up the center aisle...sorry I just dazed off.
OH MY JOSH! I am now trying desperately to cling to the already fading memories.

Oh My Josh!
Tickets went on pre-sale this morning for the second leg of Josh Groban's Awake tour. Pre-Sale was to start at 10AM and as I'm you probably guessed I was sitting in front of my computer at 9:30 ready for action. I stared at the clock in the corner of the computer screen and the instant it turned to 10:00 AM I click on the link that said "Buy Tickets."
I was totally ready. I had been practicing all night. You only have 90 seconds to type in all your information before the page refreshes and you lose your place in line. My credit card was out and I started inputting information. 2 tickets, best available, password, GO! It went. "We're sorry. You're request could not be processed." WHAT??!!! YES IT CAN! It did it again, and again and again, but it still couldn't be processed. They must have sold out in pre-presale for FOJG members only the night before. I was pissed (for lack of a better word). Frustrated beyond belief, I called my mom. "It just wasn't meant to be, honey." Why the hell not, I though.
That's when more anger set in. It would have been meant to be if there wasn't a pre-presale! Why would you do that? Have a pre-presale the night before to fan club members only?! That's STUPID! I'm a starving college student. I can't afford to pay $50 a year for fan club membership. I AM THE FREAKING FAN CLUB! I skipped my favorite class for this and they're sold out?! I grabbed my bag and stormed to class, late.
Needless to say, I was not a pleasant person for those two hours before I returned to my room. I was still in shock, so I check the Josh website again to see if I missed something, which I often do. Sure enough, there it was. "JG.com Pre-Sale Information." I clicked on it to see what they could possibly be telling me that I hadn't already found out. I was expecting to see "Pre-presale Tickets sold out in record time!" but no. It said the password. It was in all caps. I didn't use all caps...then the little voice in my head said "TRY IT AGAIN!!!!" So, naturally, I did. And guess what...I GOT TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Possibly some of the best tickets in the arena!!!!!!! I was in shock from the sudden reversal of my previous sad shock. Of course I called my Mama and said "Mommy! I think I just got tickets!!" "You think? That's never good." "NO I GOT TICKETS!!!! SECTION 114, ROW 4!!!" "Really?" "YES!" "Guess God was looking out for us." "GUESS SO!"
I'm kinda excited.

Awake Tour Extended!
Josh Groban's Awake Tour has officially been extended! The first leg of the tour didn't include the Pacific NW. I was obviously very disappointed. It turns out that the last leg of the tour will include Vancouver BC, Seattle, Portland, and Boise! I thought I had missed the pre-sale, which basically means they only way I would get tickets would be if I won them on the radio, but tickets aren't on sale yet. I'm so excited!! I hope I can get tickets!

Song of the Day
"Smile" by: Nat King Cole
I also recommend the Josh Groban version...duh.
There's no real reason for this song today...it's just stuck in my head.

My Turn
I'm Ariel. I am currently a student at Oregon State University, but as you have probably read I will be going somewhere else next year. I am an international business major and Spanish minor. I plan to study in Spain next year to fulfill my Spanish minor requirements and I want to study in Italy my senior year to fulfill my international business requirements, but we'll see how that goes. I'm not a journalist and I don't write like one. I tend to rant when I write and get really wordy, so I apologize ahead of time for that. I consider myself to be the more aesthetic member of the Anomalous Happenings team, where as Christina is the analytical/politically savvy member. I am an obsessive list maker so expect a few of those. I love the beach and the ocean for obvious reasons. I watch too much TV and quite a bit of that is the Food Network (I just learned how to link). I love swimming and playing softball. I amuse myself really easily. I just about always have some sort of lip gloss/chapstick with me. Josh Groban is my favorite singer, but I listen to all types of music. I often describe myself as a fountain of useless information and it's true for the most part. Some of my pet peeves are when people have their pants tucked into their shoes, being treated like a child, really dirty bathrooms, stupid questions (yes they do exist), and Disney sequels.
I find myself encountering anomalous happenings on a regular basis. I promise to do my best to report them to you and stay true to the theme of this blog. If anyone reading this ever has any questions for either Christina or me please ask them. We love to know that we have an audience.
